Felted Wool Sewing Cozie

Learn the Felted Wool Stitchery technique while you make this delightful little Sewing Cozie! The steps you follow are the basic steps for any Felted Wool project. Step 1

Place Wonder Under fusible web over the paper pattern design (rough side down) and trace each part of the design with a pencil.

Step 2

Cut the fusible web apart and iron each piece on the correct color wool using a hot iron. Cool. Cut out each piece and peel off the paper backing.

Step 3

Layer and arrange the wool pieces according to the diagram (make sure the shiny glue side is down). Iron with hot iron. Cool. Blanket stitch around flower pieces and leaves using 2 strands of black embroidery floss or Autifil Thread.

Step 4   

Pin the yellow rectangle on the second piece of black wool (according to the diagram) and blanket stitch around the outside of the yellow triangle.Fold under one of the long edges fo the rust colored rectangle, stitch with black floss using a running stitch.

Position the rust pocket and blanket stitch around 3 sides leaving the running stitch side open. Attach the button and ribbon on the rust pocket.

Step 5

Place the two black pieces WRONG sides together and blanket stitch around the outside edge.
